Victor-Smith is having her first Open Studio night Thursday, May 2 at 60 Liberty Ship Way (5-8pm) in Sausalito, featuring all of the artists currently represented by Artstream in addition to Eric Zener Prints.
Artstream returns to the Marin Country Mart Farmer Market in Larkspur on Saturday May 4 (9am-2pm), showcasing the work of Brian Andrews, who "strives to create an immersive sensory experience and pique your curiosity." His work, while created digitally, feels organic and expansive, Victor-Smith says.
Artstream also makes its debut at the Mill Valley Arts Commission's First Tuesday Artwalk on Tuesday, May 7 (5:30-7:30pm), as she'll be parking Artstream adjacent to the Depot Plaza for the event and exhibiting the work of Ethan Okamura, who has a unique perspective in his ocean photography. Okamura seeks to turn the perspective on its head, literally, with a new set of photographs called “Tide Pool Perspectives,” that challenge our brains to look at tide pools and their reflections in a completely different way.
The 411: Melanie Victor-Smith's Artstream, her mobile art gallery inside her 1954 Airstream trailer, continues to pop up all over Marin in May, showcasing a variety of local artists. See above for info on each event.
