Movies in the Park closes its 2017 season on October 6 The Oct. 6th free Movies in the Park screening of Disney's Moana exceeded all possible expectations, drawing more than 500 people to Old Mill Park on a gorgeous Friday evening. Over the course of four screenings in 2017 – the classic The Princess Bride, Pixar's Academy Award-winning Inside Out, the live-action Beauty and the Beast and Moana – Movies in the Park drew more than 1,000 people in 2017.
With your help, the free outdoor film series, a collaboration between the Mill Valley Chamber of Commerce, Mill Valley Recreation and the California Film Institute, will be back bigger and better than ever in 2018. We're looking to raise money to expand the series and make it more sustainable long-term so that we can show a wider array of films across more outdoor locations and, most importantly, KEEP IT FREE.
